Kevin had been in the recording and further planning stages of The Road to Water, prior to his passing in 2020.

Initial recording was done at Tim Houser's Uptown Studios, in Owosso, Michigan. Another was completed at his friend's (Johnny Zawacki) Charlatan Sound Studio, also in Owosso. Two home demo recordings, by Kevin and Alana Beamish round out the collection of songs, with some added tracks by his buddy, Johnny Z.
